Motts Creek Inn was built around 1930, and was originally known as the Rainbow Inn. In 1946 George Wilson purchased it and changed the name to what it is today. During Mr. Wilson's ownership, that Motts Creek Inn operated as a restaurant, bar, marina, bait store, and fuel dock. Mr. Wilson sold the bar in approx 1972, and it changed hands a few times before Pete Risko purchased it in 1988. Pete added the existing bar area, and closed the old original dining room and bar. He operated the bar until it was purchased by its current owners in May of 2007.
